Guided Fly Fishing Trips in Northern Michigan

Experience Northern Michigan’s legendary waterways with Zach Ginop, local fly fishing guide.

When In Doubt, Trust the Local

These fisheries can be the most memorable water of your life, but like most things worth remembering, experience and understanding expedite the process.

Born and raised in Northern Michigan, I've been fishing these waters my whole life. A day on my home waters can only be improved by sharing what I've learned with a fellow angler.

Waters I Fish

These pristine waters are home to numerous species, including the classic brook trout, rainbow, and brown trout, as well as all warm water species.

Sturgeon River

Fast and cold water, super fun streamer and night fishing. Spring and fall bring inland lakes steelhead.

Pigeon River

Ample opportunities for walk-in fishing through Pigeon River Country. Excellent dry fly activity in late spring and early summer.

Black River

The upper is where you go for brook trout. The lower provides warm water species like smallmouth, pike, and don't look past the master angler rock bass.

Thunder Bay River

A diverse fishery that can look like a trout stream or a bass pond. Holds smallmouth, pike, and more.

And More...

You're never more than six miles from a fishable body of water in Michigan. From ponds to ditches to tiny blue lines on a map, there's plenty to fish.
